We are expanding our news team and looking for journalists passionate about the market to join us. Specifically, we’re looking for someone with strong financial market knowledge and the proven ability to report on the Asia-Pacific financial market.

This position is offered on a full-time, freelance, remote work basis. Will you help us take the Global Team to the next level?

What you’ll be doing:

• Report, write and publish short-form stories covering Asia-Pacific financial markets
• Topics will include equity markets, economic data, oil, and gold, as well as major breaking news
• Own the beat, dictate day-to-day coverage
• Assist with managing aggregated news feeds
• Send push notifications to users

What you’ll bring:

• At least 3 years experience journalism work experience
• Native English level
• Professional journalism qualification
• Proven experience in covering Asia-Pacific financial markets
• You must provide samples of up-to-date published articles upon application (at least 5 articles)
• Capable of self-directed work
• Familiarity with web-based publishing systems is advantageous
• Flexible, quick learner, and adaptable to the ups and downs of markets as well as the shifting demands of a fast-paced role
• Passionate about financial markets and about helping investors and traders understand what’s happening in themAny specific expertise in a given sector or asset class a plus
