We are looking for a financial markets journalist to write local news for our Russian edition. You will be required to publish hard news articles and provide ideas for special content on a range of financial topics including the local stock market, currencies and crypto, companies, economy and general finance, with a daily capacity of 9-10 news pieces. Also, you will be required to edit content from our collaborators. You must feel comfortable interviewing market participants, be ready and eager to cover local events and you will work closely with our Russian Site Manager.
This role is offered on the basis of an indefinite freelance contract, with a 40-hour a week commitment, anywhere else in the world and in adherence with the Moscow Markets hours (11:00 to 20:00, Moscow time, with lunch break)
What you’ll do:
- Daily writing of news articles on financial topics.
- Editing translations, automatic news, and other materials.
- Translations from English into Russian of news texts on economic and financial topics.
What you’ll bring:
- Russian native speaking and writing skills
- Proficiency in English
- Sound knowledge of the financial markets
- At least 1 year of experience in writing and translations
