We are looking for an experienced journalist in the online environment with a solid understanding of the financial markets, to work closely with the German Site Manager in creating and managing and maximising in-house content for the German edition. This role can be done at your home office, anywhere, following the European time zone.
What you’ll do:
- Financial markets news and analysis writing
- Managing, editing and localization of the edition’s content
- Sourcing and collaborating with contributing writers and local news sources
- Translator management
- Monitoring the content’s performance, develop and execute optimization plans
- Online marketing activities including social media and daily newsletter setup
Requirements
What you’ll bring:
- Native-level German writing skills
- Proficiency in English
- Knowledge of the financial markets and specifically market sectors like hydrogen, electric vehicles, robotics and AI
- Proven experience in digital content management, journalism or editing
- Ability to write about single stocks
- Willingness to be flexible in timetable to cover main events e.g. Fed, US earnings season etc
- A team player
- Can-do and problem-solving attitude
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Goal and business-oriented mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in trading is advantageous
- Experience in online marketing is advantageous
