Investing.com is looking for a financial markets content specialist, with the proven ability to write original, strategic, actionable material that would include analysis of global markets, stocks, forex, commodities, cryptos and the macro economy. The content should appeal to traders and investors looking for their next profitable market opportunity.
Our ideal candidate can turn around copy quickly, produce more than one post per day and is a prolific idea-generator able to come up with a steady stream of market-focused topics in order to keep our website’s financial content pipeline bubbling. This position can be offered with an employment contract if based in Madrid or willing to relocate or on a ongoing, freelance basis if residing anywhere else in the world.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in and deep, proven knowledge of the financial markets, in particular—but not limited to—U.S. stocks and global indices.
The successful candidate will be capable of writing at least one daily–and ideally more than one–insightful piece of market-related analysis that will offer readers fresh, original strategies or perspectives on how to trade and invest in the markets. At the same time, the appropriate candidate will also be generating additional ideas for future articles as well as researching and drafting upcoming stories for quick turnaround and publication. Ability to produce periodic, bigger-picture market-related articles is also critical.
The right candidate will be capable of working independently but within a team, reporting directly to the head of analysis content for guidance, oversight and feedback.
Requirements
Who you are:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in American English (at mother tongue level) – MUST
· Deep understanding and appreciation of U.S. equity/financial markets – Must
· Strong understanding and appreciation of global financial markets (Currency/Commodity/Indices as well as Equities) – Major Advantage
· Previous financial or business reporting and/or writing experience – Strong Advantage
· Ability to generate multiple ideas for future stories on an ongoing basis -- Must
· Previously published financial markets analysis – Significant Advantage
· Some knowledge of Technical Analysis - Advantage
· Degree in journalism, English or communications, or degree in business, management or finance – Advantage
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Ability to successfully manage ongoing multiple priorities
